A really good month for moving my body!

What Worked

Having ample space to work with and being in nature.

What Didn't Work

Eating shit food that makes me feel lethargic.

Building muscle through weightlifting and walking where I can.

Highlights

I found myself in nature where I could go on long, engaging walks. In the suburbs, walks are hard for me because of the monotony and lack of scenery whereas it was the complete opposite this month.

Best Workouts

I really enjoyed dancing with Tara’s Body on Youtube, and all the walks I’ve been taking have been great!

Personal Records

I have finally found myself back in the gym after more than a year! It’s nice to do home workouts, but I don’t have anything heavy enough to give my legs a nice pump in a few sets. It’s been nice feeling sore and feeling my muscles working to that extent again.

Challenges

I have been on the move since the start of January. I have been in 4 different places within the month, so it’s a difficult to form any sort of schedule when you have to settle into a place and then leave in a short period of time.

Physical Challenges

I find my feet get really sore after anything I do. The downsides of this is it supports my whole body, so my walk tends to look a little funny, and I will be in pain all day when I’m on my feet, making it hurt worse.

Schedule/Time Challenges

I’ve been taking walks before work, at lunch, and right after work (if the sun wasn’t already down). I usually pick one of these timeslots depending on what is working for me on that day.

This week, I’ve been going to the gym after work and that has been working wonderfully.

Goals for Next Month

  • Build more muscle
  • Keep being active throughout my day (My job is much more active than my previous one, so this naturally occurs throughout my day!)
  • Move my body in fun ways (eg. sledding)
